In many traditions of Paganism and Wicca, days of the week are very
important aspects of effective spellcasting. For example, spells to do
with abundance or prosperity could be done on Thursday, because it is
associated with riches and desire. When casting a spell concerning
business or communication, one might prefer to work on a Wednesday due
to its associations.
While not all traditions follow this rule, when you're doing any sort of
magical working, always be sure to document the day of the week you're
performing the spell. You might be surprised later on to see some
connections!

Saturday is ruled by Saturn. The logic and almost sly nature of Saturn is most
prominent on Saturday, which is why it is the perfect day for habit breaking and scientific
experimentation.
Human manipulation is also a very powerful aspect of Saturn's power over Saturday.

Saturday: This day of the week got it's name from the god of karma and time,
Saturn. This day is obviously associated with the planet Saturn and is our
last day of the week. Traditionally Saturdays are great days for protection,
banishing a negative situation, and generally a good time to clean up any
magical messes that you have been ignoring. Some suggestions for Saturday
enchantments would include:
Wearing the colors of the day, black and deep purple. Here's your
perfect excuse to be dramatic and witchy. Empower these dramatic pieces
of your wardrobe for protection and strength.
Burning black candles to absorb negativity and burning purple ones to increase your magical wisdom and boost your spirituality
Adding a touch of garden witchery to your Saturday spells by
working with the pansy (in black or purple of course), the morning glory
flowering vine, or the cypress tree.
Carrying an obsidian, hematite, or jet tumbled stone in your
pocket to reinforce your personal protection and to ward off bad vibes
and sour feelings. You can also add these crystals to a candle spell on a
Saturday night to really increase the punch of your spellcasting.
Cleaning your house and cleansing it while you are at it. Tap
into those obstacle-removing vibes and the positive, concluding
energies.
Closing up the final day of the bewitching week with a bang by calling on Hecate for protection and guidance

Color energies are useful in many
ways. One of the most basic ways to use color symbolism in magick is to
select candles of the color appropriate to your purpose. The power of
color may be added at any point in rituals and spells to enhance the
symbolism, and thus the power of the spell.
Examples include:
Candles
Altar Cloth & Flowers
Fabric and components for Amulets, Talismans, Dream Pillows, etc.
Food coloring choices in Bath Salts.
Label/Container choices for brews, teas, essential oils etc.
Meditations on colors for reaching specific chakras, or areas for psychic development.
Garments for ceremonies or simply on days when you wish to attract (or deflect) certain energies.
Colored papers and inks for written spell work.
Awareness of colors you select in your decor and environment.
As with most things magickal, how
you feel about the color and your aims is the most important guide. If a
color feels right to use for a purpose, even if it is not listed here,
use it! As shown in the varying and sometimes overlapping associations
above, the power and meaning of colors varies somewhat form person to
person.
Longevity, Health, Healing, restored youth.
Use these herbs in combination when working a health/Healing spell:
LONGEVITY: alfalfa, cypress, datura, lavender, linden, lemon, lemon
balm, life everlasting, maple, oak, parsley, peach, rosemary, sage,
tansy.
LIFE EVERLASTING, also known as PEARLY EVERLASTING, is a member of
the Daisy family — or rather, it is a name that has been given to any of
several different plants in that family which have stiff, “everlasting”
flower bracts. As the name implies, LIFE EVERLASTING is believed by
many to promote longevity. For this purpose, people keep it in the home,
often in an open jar or bowl, and they may dress it with Healing Oil or
Blessing Oil. Others add LIFE EVERLASTING to a conjure bag carried to
improve health, safety, and longevity. Old-style workers have told us
that they make it into a tea which they drink once a week to prolong
their lives. Life-Everlasting Longevity Spell
To have a long
life, with minimal illness, keep the life-everlasting plant (Gnaphalium
polycephalum) in the living areas of your home. Even if you have
suffered illness, bringing this plant into the house will help restore
youth and vigor.
Every morning, look at your life-everlasting plant and say: “Illness flee, and pain be gone. The life I live, may it be long.”
Othala’s Ju Ju Powder Spell
You will need the following items for this spell:
Mortar and Pestle (Alternatively a Coffee Grinder)
Small Tongs or Spoon
A sharp Knife
A Bowl of any size
A small velvet sachet/bag or small tin (for storing the finished powder)
Angelica Root
Anise Seed
Chamomile
Red Cloves
Fennel
Fenugreek seed
Jasmine Flower
Lavender
Life Everlasting
Lotus Leaf
Meadowsweet
Peony Root
Star Anise
Optionally add any special ingredients you want to add Casting Instructions
What you want to do is simply take each herb/root and grind it down
into the finest possible powder as you can. You can either do this one
of two ways you can quickly and easily do this by using a coffee grinder
one that is solely used for grinding herbs; or you can do it the old
fashioned but harder way and grind the herbs/roots using a mortar and
pestle. To be honest as much as I like the ease and convenience of a
coffee grinder I think that using the mortar and pestle the old
fashioned way adds to the power, magic, and effort into the Ju Ju powder
as you are working so much harder to achieve the desired result
especially after putting your sweat, blood, and tears into your work.
The
amount you use for each herb/root does not matter specifically and
depends entirely on how much of the finished and blended powder you
want. After you grind each herb into a fine powder store it temporarily
in the bowl, each time you add the grounded powder of an herb/root to
the bowl you should take the tongs or spoon and mix the powder together
to blend it. Keep doing this for each herb/root until you have finished
with all of the ingredients.
Once you have finished grinding all the
herbs/roots and have blended them all together in the bowl you are then
going to want to take the sharp knife and prick your finger or palm so
that you draw blood. You are then going to want to let several drops of
your blood spill into the blended Ju Ju powder. As soon as you do so or
while doing so chant this spell:
By the spirits of old, those who have wrought wisdom and understanding;
By the blessed Creator and all of her love, grace, and magic;
By my sacred and divine gifts that have been so generously lent to me;
I call forth the powers of the cosmos, chaos, and creation;
Bless unto me now and into this powder the power to achieve my goals and banish my enemies;
Whether it be protection, purification, finding balance, seeking love or wisdom, and banishing negativity;
Let it be done by my will and my might, let is be sent through both darkness and light;
So shall it be in the keep of the heavens above;
So shall it be below in the realms beyond laughter and love.
Now that you have finished making the Ju Ju powder and you have
enchanted it with a spell, mix and blend the powder well once again now
that you have added your blood and essence into the powder, let it dry
and then store in the velvet sachet/bag or small tin. Keep the powder
with you always and use it for what ever you need, practically there is
an endless amount of ways the powder can be used. I use it primarily in
several ways one being that when the need arises I take a small pinch of
the Ju Ju powder and sprinkle it over a candle flame for whatever
purpose I need, or I toss a pinch of the powder in front and back of me
to protect the path that I walk and keep me from harm. When I seem to be
in a negative situation a take a pinch of the powder and sprinkle or
toss it at the source of the negativity (yes even at people if need be).
I also use the powder when casting a circle, and sprinkle it around me
and my sacred space; and I also use it for other spells and during
ritual/ceremony as well.
I hope the powder serves you well and helps you in whatever need you have.
Cultures around the world have always used magickal symbols and sigils. There have been many different means
of creating and using these ancient and powerful ways of creating magick, and
their use can be quite fun and rewarding. There are countless ways to use them
and each one can be tailored for your specific needs.
How Sigils Work
Sigils are magickal symbols
that are created using shapes and letterforms that are then charged with intent
and energy and released into the universe.
How to Form a Sigil
Write out what you want the
sigil to represent; as specifically
as possible and in the present tense. I find that sigils and all matter of
magick work best when it is something involving you directly, something you
want to change in your life and will be able to see a result from. If you are
creating a sigil that will impact another person or situation outside of your
own life, it may not have as powerful an impact because you never know what
other kind of energy that person or situation is being influenced by. Never do
any type of magick, including sigil work, that is harmful to others.
So, you have your intent
written out, such as “I am successful and happy in my new full time job at the
printing company” if you are interviewing for a new job, then cross out or
erase all vowels and repeating letters.
You are left with
MSCFLNDHPYWTJB. Rearrange and rewrite these letters several times, until they
are no longer recognizable as letters. Do this however you wish, it’s your
energy that you are putting into this sigil after all.
After you have played with
the shapes of the letters, combine then into a single shape or gathering of
shapes. Again, how you do this is entirely up to you. You can use ancient
sigils as inspiration for how to arrange your shapes, or do your own original
thing. If you don’t like the first way you put everything together, draw a few
more until you are satisfied.
What’s Next
When you’ve got the form
you’re happy with, you’re going to want to put it on something that you will
charge and release. Usually, this is something that can be burned, broken, or
otherwise destroyed. Paper, cloth, bay leaves, clay, carved into wax, etc. are
good. If you are really good at
visualization, then you can just hold the sigil in your mind to be released at
will, but I recommend starting with physical forms and possibly working up to
that.
How to Charge a Sigil
Holding the item that the
sigil is draw on or placing your hands above it is how charging is usually
done. You can cast a circle, align your chakras, ground and center, or any
preparatory measures you feel comfortable with first. Raise energy any way you
wish, then gaze at the sigil image and focus on your intent. Picture yourself
doing whatever it is your sigil is designed for, and imagine that it is
currently present and true. Focus this energy into the sigil and fill it with
as much visualized intent and energy as you feel comfortable with. When you’re
done, you should be able to close you eyes and be able to still hold a
visualization of the sigil in your mind.
How to Release a Sigil
Now that you’ve got your
charged sigil, you need to release it. This should be done very soon after
creating the sigil, unless you have a planned time that it needs to be done
(ie. a certain moon phase). Releasing a sigil sends its energy out to the
universe to make your will a reality. For this, the sigil is usually destroyed
by the means that are most appropriate for your intent. You can burn, break,
melt, wash away, etc. the sigil as part of a full ritual or on it’s own. Once
your sigil is released, be sure to ground and center and thank whatever deity
or elements you choose to work with.
i
dont know about these this could be bull shit but i kept it as my lift
off point to continue when i pic this back up if you have any idea what
this is please do tell me
So
I know a few posts on sigils have been made lately, but as it’s
something I’ve been doing a lot of (and because I’m being lazy with the
rest of my informational posts) I thought I’d make one.
So what is a sigil?
To me it is a symbol or mark that brings or does what it is meant to represent.
For example, if I made a sigil for ‘clarity of thought’ and sketched
it into my desk,
while sitting there I would be able to concentrate
better.
If I had trouble sleeping and decided to paint a ‘sleep’ sigil
onto my bedhead,
my sleep could improve (done and it worked).
If I was
worried about the wellbeing of my room/home,
I could draw ‘protection’
sigils onto my door (or a gate or property fence, etc).
Sigils can be used for about anything and everything.
Some people
choose to do individual ones,
or choose to combine a few to achieve a
more complete goal.
For instance, if I was having trouble with a
particular subject at school,
the combination of a ‘learn’, ‘remember’,
and even a ‘maths’ (whatever subject) could help me achieve better marks
in the subject.
I’m pretty sure (don’t quote me on it) that a few
sigils activated at once is called a shoal.
Sigil magick is great because it’s easy, simple,
it doesn’t require
any fancy tools, they can be used for all manner of things,
and because
they’re a little less obvious than other forms of magickal workings
(something for the witches in the broom closet).
A shoal of sigils I’ve painted on my bed; sleep, dreams, healing.
Sigils can be simple or complex.
Usually it varies on what they
represent.
I find that one word sigils are simpler than phrases.
Longer
words usually mean bigger sigils, too.
Below in order; Motivation, Positive Attraction, Talent
Interested? I sure was.
Okay, so making sigils is pretty easy and it
gets easier with practice (for me, it was).
So here is how you make
them.
My first sigil was ‘creativity flows’.
It worked rather well. I’ll
use it as an example.
The first step is to write out the letters.
CREATIVITY FLOWS
Next, you cross out the vowels and the repeated letters;
CREATIVITY FLOWS
You’re left with
CRTVY FLWS
Then it’s easy.
Simply jumble and arrange the letters together until
they are pleasing to look at.
Sometimes this is easy.
Other times this
is harder.
Here’s what I came up with;
So that’s creating sigils.
The next step is to activate them.
Personally I don’t go though much effort to do this.
I just stare at it
and focus on activating it.
But some people chose to do so by in a
ritual or in their personal magickal working space/altar.
Stare at the sigil for a while, merely observing it.
Just look at the
lines, try not to see the letters or the meaning.
Look at it until it
changes or becomes almost alive.
It might move a little, kind of
shimmering, which is how some people describe it.
Lately my sigils have a
little spark of energy when I activate them;
almost like your seeing an
aura, but surrounding the sigil itself.
